Imperial College MRes in Systems and Synthetic Biology

The course consists of an 8-month multidisciplinary research project, as well as case studies, practicals, and taught courses in advanced molecular biology, genetics, synthetic biology, biophysics, bioengineering, systems biology, physiological systems, advanced imaging technology, and data analysis.

On the Synthetic Biology side, this MRes aims at providing tools for the rational engineering design and synthesis of biological devices and systems that display predictable functional behaviour. It aims at providing the students with an intensive hands-on experience consisting of a combination of experimental biology and modelling, with the goal to allow them to understand, predict and redesign biological systems.
