Our Master's degree in Strategic Marketing examines the fundamentals of marketing strategy, new technologies, and the marketing opportunities they present.
This innovative programme has a strong emphasis on real-life case studies to give you a true understanding of strategic marketing practice, preparing you for a marketing career in a range of established businesses or entrepreneurial ventures.
Drawing on expertise from the marketing faculty in addition to experts in innovation, entrepreneurship and digital business, this degree aims to transform recent graduates into highly trained, highly skilled individuals who understand marketing from a strategic perspective.
Technology is an integral part of the MSc Strategic Marketing degree. It includes a range of teaching innovations that will enhance your learning and bring digital media, and in particular social media, into the classroom.
Websites will be used in a learning context, and you will also have the opportunity to develop a website as part of your business plan.
In the summer term you will take part in a Marketing Consulting Project for a client organisation, allowing you to gain consulting experience and apply knowledge from the taught modules to the solution of a real business issue.

The Imperial College Business School has over 60 academics, 10 teaching fellows and 20 researchers supporting teaching and research across the School.
You will receive your course timetable by the beginning of your studies in October. The core teaching hours for the College are 9am–6pm and the Business School will also teach in the evenings beyond 6pm.

Postgraduate Master's loan
If you are a Home or EU student who meets certain criteria, you may be able to apply for a Postgraduate Master’s Loan of up to £10,000 from the UK government. The loan is not means-tested, and you can choose whether to put it towards your tuition fees or living costs.

Minimum academic requirement
A First or Upper Second Class Honours undergraduate degree from a recognised university, in business studies, marketing, economics, psychology, communications or a closely related subject.

English language requirement (all applicants)
All candidates must demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency for admission to the College.

How to apply
All applicants must apply online.
You can apply to only this course, and it is not possible to make a second choice. When applying to other courses at the College, you will usually be able to apply for up to two courses.
Most courses don't have a formal closing date, but popular courses close when they are full, so you should apply early to avoid disappointment. There may also be funding deadlines that apply to you.
You will need to upload documents with your applications, which may include transcripts and degree certificates.
