Queen's Tower

Our South Kensington Campus offers the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus community right in the centre of London.

Imperial has nine campuses, with our main campus situated in South Kensington, on the site where the original College was founded in 1907.

South Kensington is at the heart of 'Albertopolis', the realisation of Prince Albert’s vision for an area where science and the arts would come together.

Of course I realised Imperial was in South Kensington, but what I hadn’t appreciated was how utterly amazing it would be to live and study there! "

As a result, South Kensington is prime sightseeing land, so you may find yourself rubbing shoulders with tourists on Exhibition Road (where the museums are located) on the approach to campus. Unlike the tourists, you have the advantage of being able to visit these attractions at your leisure, while taking lunch or as a break from study. You will also enjoy discounted access to the museums' special exhibitions with your Imperial student card.

As a student here, you will have the best of both worlds: access to some of the very best teaching, research and leisure facilities while still being within easy reach of all that London has to offer

Take a look at Discover South Kensington for all the latest information on events in our neighbourhood, and check out this blog post from student blogger Lorna to find out the best places to eat near campus!
