Our drop-in sessions make introducing exercise into your routine easy! Equipment is provided for you, so all you need to do is show up.

Turn up and play! Individuals will be split up into teams at each session and will play short 5-a-side matches refereed by a qualified coach.
A hugely popular game, it is less physically demanding than tennis, but requires quick feet and clever tactics.
Come along if you want a sport that will improve your agility and precision.
Basketball - drop in
A popular game that is a fast growing sport in the UK. It is played by two teams of five players. Techniques for the game include shooting, passing, dribbling and rebounding.
The session is open to all abilities and will involve some coaching in basic skill development followed by some games. A great, fun team game so come along and take part!
Taking place in Ethos gym Impetus Circuits is a bootcamp style class in the gym using body weight and a variety of equipment including VIPR, Kettlebells and Slamballs. If you really want to improve your fitness, our instructors will help motivate you to achieve your goals.
Would you like to learn how to use the climbing wall or just want to try something new? A qualified instructor will be on hand to teach you the basics of climbing – all equipment provided so just turn up!
Experience indoor cycling - the benefits and ambience of indoor cycling are simulated and experienced in a personalised on-screen workout.

Sport Imperial have launched a new partnership with British Gymnastics. The partnership enables student to access expert gymnastics coaching and facilities as part of the Impetus programme.
The session is open to all abilities so come along and give it a go! Within the session you will be taught a variety of techniques including skills such as: rolls, cartwheels and front flips as well as the motions to build to those skills with equipment to assist where necessary. The coach will cater to different abilities by varying the equipment or giving them a progression of a particular skill. The session then ends with some light conditioning and a free stretching session.
Sessions run every Sunday in term time from 18.00–19.00 at Charing Cross Gymnastics Club, Aspelea Road, Hammersmith, London, W6 8LH.
Meeting Point: Students will meet the British Gymnastics Student Officer at 17.00 at Ethos reception and then participants will be taking public transport to the venue (approximately 30 minute travel).
The session is limited to 12 participants on a first come first serve basis!
Impetus gymnastics has now finished for the term and the first session back will be Sunday 17th January 2016.
LED Sabre (Fencing)
LED Sabre is an exciting new sword art that appeals to all kinds of people, including martial artists, dancers, actors, sci-fi fans and more! The LED sabre itself is an amazing training weapon, allowing students to practice and compete with minimal risk of injury, permitting a huge range of expression and techniques. LED Sabre has simple duelling rules that are especially designed to focus on having fun and bringing people together to play!
The 8.00pm-10.00pm session is split into two separate sessions, 8.00pm-9.00pm and 9.00pm-10.00pm. Therefore the two sessions are an hour long in duration. There is a capacity of 10 in the studio per session so arrive early to avoid disappointment!
Would you like to learn how to play squash or just want to try something new? Then this session is for you! All equipment provided, so just turn up. There will be a qualified coach at all sessions to teach you the basics rules and skills to be able to play matches against other participants!
Would you like to learn how to swim or just want to try something new? Then this session is for you! Fast Fins qualified swimming instructors will be on hand to teach you the basic swimming strokes and techniques to allow you to be able to swim 25m unaided in our swimming pool.
Table tennis is a fast, intense game requiring quick reflexes, good coordination and keen observation. It’s addictive and fun.
Come along if you’re looking for something less physically demanding, but will test your skill, power and accuracy.
Held in conjunction with Hyde Park Tennis Club, come and compete in this traditional sport.
Come along if: you want to combine general fitness with skill, power, coordination with a touch of competition.

The Volleyball club at Imperial would like to get more people playing this great team sport! The club will be delivering this session within the Impetus programme. The session is open to all abilities. The session will be made up of some skill development followed by friendly games.
