"Plastic electronics" is a rapidly advancing research field encompassing the design, synthesis, characterisation and modelling of printable and flexible electronic materials and devices. This includes low energy organic LEDs for diplays and lighting, new types of solar cell, wearable electronics and bio-electronics, optoelectronics, and frontier research areas such as spintronics, ferroics and molecular magnetism.

The CDT Programme
The Plastic Electronics CDT is a 4 year programme, comprising 1 year MRes plus 3 years PhD. The MRes course can be taken as a stand-alone course.
We are accepting applications for CDT (MRes+PhD) and MRes courses to start in October 2017! Deadlines: 31 March, 30 April, 31 May - early applications strongly recommended! Find out about the available projects.
Centre for Plastic Electronics
The Plastic Electronics CDT is part of the Centre for Plastic Electronics at Imperial College. The Centre is a group of around 25 research groups, working on printable and flexible electronics materials and devices.
