The Hamlyn Symposium
The theme for 2016's Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics is 'new challenges and emerging platforms'. The Symposium is in its ninth year. It is now being held over four days to include workshops on various clinical and technical topics and a two-day main conference with participation of invited/keynote speakers, paper authors and delegates from leading medical, science and technology institutions.

At the Hamlyn Centre, we organise an annual summer school for talented undergraduate or post-graduate students on machine learning, robotics and sensor networks. The course consists of taught lectures by leading researchers in the field, as well as mini-projects and research/communication skills workshops. Summer School also incorporates extensive social activities, affording the opportunity to explore the vibrant social life and culture of London. The 2017 Winter School on Surgical Imaging and Vision will take place from Monday 4 to Friday 8 December 2017. The Winter School focuses on both the technical and clinical aspects of Surgical Imaging and Vision, with invited lectures, hands-on demonstrations, workshops, and mini-projects. The School's focus is to familiarise researchers with the cutting edge research of this rapidly expanding field. Contact us for further information.
