Optimisation of drug delivery and simulations of complex biological flows
Our group specialises in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) of biological flows, with particular emphasis on flow and aerosol deposition in the respiratory airways and the development of numerical algorithms for high-fidelity, large-scale computations of complex physiological flows.
Our work on pulmonary drug delivery relies on in silico models to develop new understanding of the deposition of inhaled particles and to optimise drug delivery to the lungs. Current research projects include:

- Numerical methods for complex geometries
- Flow and aerosol deposition in the alveoli
