I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Complex Multiscale Systems group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, headed by Prof. Serafim Kalliadasis. I completed my PhD, under the supervision of Dr Jamal Uddin and Prof Stephen Decent, at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Prior to PhD I did MPhil and MSc in Mathematics in Quaid-I-Azam University, Pakistan.

My PhD research was on the instabilities and the breakup of compound liquid jets. During PhD, I performed mathematical modeling of multi-layer free surface flows and examined the instabilities in such kind of flows both analytically and numerically. I applied various numerical methods, such as, Newton’s method, Ferrari method and Runge-Kutta method to discuss this phenomenon. Moreover, I solved the highly nonlinear partial differential equations using finite difference scheme based on Lax-Wendroff method that allowed us to explore the shape of the compound liquid jet and the formation of satellite droplets with the main encapsulated droplets.

My research in the Complex Multiphase Systems Group focuses on a moving contact line, in particular, using finite element method to solve diffuse interface approaches for a better understanding of multiscale phenomena at the moving contact line.
