AVIC Centre for Materials Characterisation, Processing and Modelling

The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) has one of the largest research and development centres in China. Beijing Institute for Aeronautical Materials (BIAM, within AVIC) and Imperial College have established a world-class centre in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Materials at Imperial College London for materials characterisation, processing and modelling and developing a research-based collaboration to undertake applied and fundamental research; explore mutual areas of interest; disseminate scientific information and conduct post-doctorate and PhD project research.
